Manufactured to commemorate the centenary of the death of Lewis Carroll, 1832-1898. Sir John Tenniel illustrated the Alice books of Lewis Carroll and the sculptor of these chess pieces, John Somerville has captured Tenniel's characters in three dimensional form and the skilled craftsmen at SAC Ltd have reproduced them with faithful accuracy. This impressive set has a King of 7" in height and requires a board with squares of 2-1/2". It is shown on board #H503 (not included).
