The voyage of 1492 and succeeding voyages are remembered in this set depicting various European Explorers and the Native Americans encountered. The European side has Christopher Columbus as King; Isabella of Castile, the Queen; Amerigo Vespuici and Fray Diego de Deza as Bishops; Martin Alonso Pinzon and Vincente Danez Pinzon of Palos as Knights; Santa Maria as Castles and Spanish Seamen as Pawns.

The American side has Emperor Montezuma II of the Aztecs as King; An Inca Sun Virgin as Queen; Bishops are a Mayan Priest and an Aztec High Priest; Knights are an Inca Warrior and a Chief from the Southeastern Indians; The Castles are the Temple of Kukulcan at Chichen Itza and the Pawns are Carib Indians.
